Ancelotti: United murderous
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is pinning his faith on Alessandro Nesta and Paolo Maldini to stop Manchester United's 'murderous' attack.
The 2005 beaten finalists will meet United in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League later this month, with the first leg at Old Trafford.
The Rossoneri set up the date with the Premiership leaders after a 2-0 success at Bayern Munich on Wednesday secured a 4-2 aggregate win.
The previous evening, United had crushed Milan's Serie A rivals Roma 7-1 and Ancelotti was in awe of The Red Devils' attacking prowess.
But Ancelotti is hoping his experienced defenders Nesta and Maldini can ensure his side do not befall the same fate as Roma.
"I saw Manchester United against Roma and they were frightening," Ancelotti told The Sun.
"They are murderous on the counter-attack and solid in defence.
"My key defenders have recovered fitness. They have been together since 2003 and are still the best defensive pairing in the world.
"Don't forget we play the return leg at the San Siro. That could make the difference."
