Want-away Livorno captain Cristiano Lucarelli wants to join Manchester United.
The Mirror says the Livorno striker, 31, wants to quit his Serie A side in the summer and his agents have contacted Sir Alex Ferguson about a £6m move.
Lucarelli is known for his strong political beliefs and idolises Che Guevara, his views allegedly limiting his number of Italy caps to three.
He has scored 16 league goals this season.
