Sheffield Utd boss Warnock: Man Utd best team on planet
Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock rates Manchester United as the best team in the world. The Blades face United tomorrow night and Warnock said: "It's a bit sadistic putting this game on television, but that's producers for you.
"It's a game nobody will give us a chance of getting anything out of. I think the bookies' odds will be just on how many goals we concede.
"A win would be a miracle and the result of the decade, not just the season, with the way they are playing at the moment.
"How do you cope against a team who are, without a shadow of a doubt, the best in the world right now?
"There is no other team that has a forward line like Manchester United, and I would have thought they all want to play against us.
"They will all be thinking it's a great opportunity to score a hat-trick, and quite rightly so looking at the fixture.
"But we've our own pride. The fans will be crossing the Pennines, and we want to put on a show, as we always do.
"And then it's not just pride we're playing for because we don't want to end up being humiliated."
Warnock fervently believes his side can get something out of the game, in particular following the boost that came with Saturday's 3-0 victory over relegation rivals West Ham.
The win lifted the Blades back out of the bottom three and two points clear of the relegation zone.
"We have to start better than we did at Liverpool and Chelsea because after five minutes those games were over," added Warnock.
"We don't want that against Manchester United. We all saw what happened against Roma when they were 3-0 up inside 20 minutes.
"We have to try and be as strong as we can under pressure against a world-class team.
"I have to go into it believing we can get something out of the game.
"We have to try and cause them problems. We can't just defend. We have to try and find a weakness, if any, and capitalise on it."
